The Maspalomas Lighthouse stands at the southern tip of Gran Canaria, a historic structure that has guided sailors since 1890. At 55 metres it commands the coastal landscape, looking out over the famous Maspalomas dunes and the Atlantic Ocean. Today it’s more than a landmark for seafarers: it also houses a free museum on the island’s history and culture.

Getting there
By car it’s easily reached via the GC-1, with parking near the lighthouse. By bus, several lines stop close by. On foot or by bike, you can follow the Meloneras seafront promenade all the way to the lighthouse.
