Why it’s worth a visit

  • A natural arch that frames the landscape in a way you won’t find elsewhere
  • The Roque Nublo and the surrounding valleys line up in a single view
  • The walk is short but demanding, good for those who’d rather not hike far
  • A lesser-known spot, so it stays quiet and genuine

Getting there

The trail starts at the Zona de Acampada de Bailico. It’s about 2 km round trip, with a few uphill stretches, and the walk takes roughly 40-50 minutes.

Good to know

  • Wear hiking shoes: the ground is rocky and can be slippery
  • Bring water and a snack, there are no refreshment stops along the way
  • The path is part of the Camino de Santiago of Gran Canaria, which crosses the island from Maspalomas to Gáldar
  • Always check the weather before setting off and leave the trail clean
