Oceanworking is a project born from the union of our skills and personalities.

Erika Cassia

I turn ideas, needs and goals into concrete experiences.

Gran Canaria taught me that when a person feels good, they work better, in less time and with more quality. Changing context, even for a short while, lets you take home valuable lessons.

I believe an experience works when every detail has meaning: the space, the pace, the people, the breaks, the organisation and the way the group is supported.

I handle the operational side of Oceanworking: I run the coworking and coordinate clients, partners, logistics. I organise and coordinate workations, retreats and wellbeing services.

Matteo Marino

I bring vision, digital strategy and processes to the project.

I'm a developer and Digital Strategist. At Oceanworking I handle the digital strategy, the processes and the tools that let the project grow without losing coherence.

Technology isn't the centre of Oceanworking. It's one of the tools we use to make the experience smoother, the processes clearer and growth more sustainable.

My role is to look at Oceanworking as a whole: to understand where we're going, which systems we need and how to simplify what risks becoming complex.

Our Story

Oceanworking wasn't born from a perfect business plan, but from a question: can we work in a more human way without giving up quality?

2021 — The move

On 11 August 2021 we moved to Gran Canaria to build a project closer to our personalities and passions. Here we discovered a more open life, a less frantic pace and a context able to change how we feel and work.

2023 — Oceanworking is born

In 2023 we felt the urge to share with more people the wellbeing this new way of working and living had given us. We realised that, for this vision to come alive every day, we needed a physical place to meet in Gran Canaria. That is how Oceanworking was born: a space where work, wellbeing and community can live side by side.

2025 — The coworking opens

On 9 January 2025 we opened the Oceanworking coworking in Maspalomas. The space let us get close to the needs of remote workers and observe how professionals of different nationalities experience remote work.

2026 — Retreats and wellbeing

In 2026 Oceanworking expanded with Company Retreat, Community Retreat, Signature Experience and wellbeing services. Our clients showed us we weren't a coworking like the others: the sea a few steps away, the birds, lunch breaks on the beach and the rhythm of the space genuinely changed the quality of the day.

We didn't want to create just a coworking, nor just a retreat organisation service. We wanted to build a place where work, wellbeing and relationships could live together every day.
