Playa de Maspalomas is the wet edge of the dune: six kilometres of sand starting at the lighthouse and running east to Playa del Inglés. Unlike the route through the reserve, you get here without walking over the dune, through a flat entrance off the lighthouse promenade. It is wide, breezy and long enough that there is always room.

- In winter the sun sets over the sea; in summer, inland
Good to know · The beach and the dune are one and the same reserve: come and go through the marked accesses, not at any point of the sand.
