Cenobio de Valerón
The Cenobio de Valerón is an imposing aboriginal granary carved into the rock by the ancient Canarians. Its 300-plus interconnected cavities stored the community's grain, an ingenuity that still surprises today. It is one of the most fascinating traces of the island's pre-Hispanic civilisation. Starting here means starting at the beginning of Gran Canaria's story.
Bodega Los Berrazales
In the heart of the Valle de Agaete, Bodega Los Berrazales sits inside the historic Finca La Laja, with over 200 years of history. It is a singular place because it brings together wine-making, arabica coffee growing — among the very few in Europe — and citrus in a single enclave. The guided tour includes a tasting of local products that tells the character of this land.
Agaete and Puerto de las Nieves
Agaete brings together sea, mountain and tradition in one place. Its valley holds coffee plantations and paths among palm trees, while Puerto de las Nieves offers crystal-clear waters, fresh fish and the famous Dedo de Dios rock formation. Among its tables we recommend Marisquería Ragù, an Italian-Canarian fusion of fresh seafood. It's the perfect coastal close to a day that began inland.
