Fataga
Known as the Valley of a Thousand Palms, Fataga is a picturesque village set among mountains and palm groves. Its cobbled streets and white houses hold a quiet atmosphere, perfect for easing into the day. Nearby, you can book a visit to the Finca Aloe Vera to see this crop up close. A first stop that prepares you for the heights of the interior.
Roque Nublo
A symbol of Gran Canaria, the Roque Nublo is an imposing volcanic rock formation 80 metres tall, at 1,813 metres above sea level. A sacred place for the ancient islanders. On clear days the views reach the Teide, on Tenerife. The path up to it is one of the most spectacular walks on the island. Access requires a compulsory booking: we suggest parking in Tejeda and going up on the dedicated buses.
Tejeda
Tejeda is one of the most beautiful villages in Gran Canaria, a mountain enclave surrounded by volcanic landscapes with views of the Roque Nublo and the Roque Bentayga. It is renowned for its almond sweets, such as the bienmesabe made at the Dulcería Nublo. Among its restaurants, the Asador-Grill El Almendro stands out, with grilled meats and traditional cooking framed by mountain views. A finale worthy of the landscape around it.
