The sculptures of Agüimes
As you wander the village you’ll spot several bronze sculptures. Among the best known:
- The camel, recalling the old trade route between Africa and the Canary Islands, when camels carried goods.
- The lovers, a sculpture representing love and local traditions.
Getting there
By car: around 30 minutes from Las Palmas, easy via the GC-1.
By bus: direct lines 11 and 21 from Las Palmas.
On foot: the village is small and best explored at a gentle walking pace.
